COURSE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the course is to train aircraft license holders up to the level of proficiency defined in FCL.920 and appropriate for an IRI.

It must enable the student to develop the necessary instructional techniques required to teach instrument flying, radio-navigation procedures and instruments up to the level required for the issuance of an instrument flight rating.

COURSE STRUCTURE
  • 25 hours of teaching and learning instruction
  • 10 hours of technical training
  • Review of instrumental technical knowledge.
  • 10 hours of flight instruction on an airplane, FFS. FTD 2/3 or FNPT II

In the case of applicants who are holders of an FI(A) certificate, these hours will be reduced to 5.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For multi-engine aircraft:

  • 800 flight hours under IFR, of which at least 400 hours will be in multi-engine aircraft.
